COMMITTEES

Membership Committee

The Membership Committee is the conduit by which current and prospective PABA members, as well as interested members of the general public, become involved with PABA. For more information about your membership or this Committee, please contact its Co-Chairs Ed Dailo and Ben Hofileña.

Professional Development and Continuing Legal Education Committee

The Professional Development and CLE Committee develops ideas for, organizes, and hosts events that provide professional learning and training opportunities as well as continuing legal education courses for PABA members. For more information about this Committee, please contact its Chair Justin Hoyt and Tristan Bufete.

Social Committee

The Social Committee plans and hosts regular social events to encourage and facilitate networking and mentorships among PABA members and prominent members of the Filipino-American community. For more information about this Committee, please contact its Co-Chairs Ria Pascual, Jason de Jesus and John De Le Merced.

Student Relations Committee

The Student Relations Committee is the heart of PABA’s mission to encourage, support and develop the talent of the next generation of attorneys. The Committee’s members serve as liaisons between PABA and students from the local law schools, connecting these students with mentors and other resources. For more information about participating in the Mentor-Mentee Program or about this Committee, please contact its Co-Chairs Diana Martinez and Adrian Roxas.

Endorsements Committee

The Endorsements Committee’s primary role is to identify and encourage potential candidates for judicial positions and determine whether the judicial candidates brought for its consideration have met PABA’s criteria for endorsement. If successful, the Committee then recommends the candidate to the Board for final approval. For more information about securing an endorsement or about this Committee, please contact its Co-Chairs Philip Nulud and Zathrina Perez.

Community Service Committee

The Community Service Committee endeavors to create and implement pro bono and charitable programs while establishing partnerships with stakeholders for the benefit of the Filipino-American community. In an understanding that such programs enrich the practice of law, the Committee frequently engages attorneys outside of their traditional field of expertise into areas that are often a natural extension of their personal interests. For more information about becoming involved in these projects or about this Committee, please contact its Chair Marlon Baldomero and Ernie Ocampo.

Media and Branding Committee

The Media and Branding Committee keeps PABA members abreast of events relating to the organization; disseminates information relevant to pressing local, state and federal issues relating to the Asian-American legal community; and provides a means of advertising and recognizing the achievements its members. This activity is made possible through the Committee’s utilization, development and maintenance of all forms of digital media, including its website, social media accounts and e-newsletters. For more information about taking advantage of these resources or about this Committee, please contact its Co-Chairs Alexander Manglinong and Elywill Paja.

National Affiliates Committee

The National Affiliates Committee is an ad hoc committee established to represent PABA and PABA members in national affiliate organizations, encourage national-level participation of PABA members, and advocate for national recognition of the achievements of PABA members. For more information about this Committee, please contact its Co-Chairs John De La Merced and Stacey Villagomez.
